Questions
How do I sign up?
Click Sign up with Discord and approve Guardbot on Discord's screen. Your Guardbot account is your Discord account, so there is no separate password; next time use Sign in. Then add the bot to your server from the dashboard or with Add to Discord.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every server gets impersonation protection for up to 3 staff and spam limits for free, with no time limit.
Is a plan per server or per account?
Per server. Each server you own or manage can be on a different plan.
What currency am I charged in?
Plans are priced in New Zealand dollars (NZD). You can pay with a card in any currency; the conversion is done by your bank or by Revolut at checkout.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, from the dashboard under Plan & billing. A switch takes effect at your next renewal date.
What permissions does Guardbot need?
Ban, kick, timeout, manage messages and manage roles, plus reading channels it moderates. Drag its role above the roles it should moderate, otherwise Discord blocks its actions.
Who can manage Guardbot in a server?
The server owner and members with the Administrator or Manage Server permission. They sign in with Discord and see only their own servers.
Can Guardbot record video of rule breaks?
No — Discord does not let bots record video or screens. Evidence is saved as text logs of the messages plus copies of attached files (VIP and up). Discord can expire old file links, so file copies are best-effort.
Does a backup restore messages?
No. Discord does not allow bots to re-create old messages. A restore re-creates missing roles and channels and re-applies permissions and server settings; it never deletes anything you added since.
What happens if I cancel?
Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then the server returns to the Free plan. Your settings are kept.
